Afternoon folks
Tonight we face an away trip to Molineux to face Wolves. Given that both of our London rivals have dropped points this week this game is of vital importance. A win would move us 5 points clear in Sp*urs and Newcastle in fourth and fifth respectively, it will also leave a 7 point gap to Chelski with only 5 games of the season left to play.
With regards to team news it looks as if both Gibbs & Gervijunho will miss out joining the rest of the casualties in the treatment room. Koscielny’s booking also rules him out tonight as well as our next game at home to Wigan. While we would rather have the Frenchman involved at least his ban is served now rather than him not being able to play against Chelski which is a game which should be securing our Champions League involvement next season. We should see Santos start his first game since returning and Djourou will slot in for Kos. While Yoshi played on Sunday I think we might see the Ox start from the off given the lack of real attacking threat posed in open play from Wolves.
I think our starting XI will be
Szcz: Sagna,TV,Djourou,Santos:Song,Arteta,Rosicky:Ox,Theo, RVP
Wolves will be without two of their preferred four in midfield with Hunt & O’Hara both out with groin injuries. While we always say there are no easy games in football this is one we really should win. I will plump for a 1-3 victory. RVP on the double to go with a Walcott strike while Fletcher may nick a goal for Wolves.
Finally for today i will leave you with this quote from Arry from earlier in the season when the media were falling over themselves to anoint Sp*rs the best club ever.
That’s the most important thing for me this year to be honest, to be the top London club, said Redknapp.
Shove it up your illiterate arse Arry.
